Fiddle Kids

Gone Fiddling Again (GFA) is an organization that engages Yakima Area youth between the ages of 8 and 18 in tuition free instruction, performance, and preservation of American Folk Fiddling. Recruitment is conducted annually among 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th grade students in the Greater Yakima Area. Older students can join as space permits. (Students can also take private lessons to get started, and then move into the free classes.)

Class instruction occurs once per week and youth are grouped according to level of expertise, but no child is excluded. Performances include Community Northwest Harvest Benefit Dance, Annual Fiddle Kids Show, Spring Community Fiddle Kids Dance as well as performances at senior centers and other community events.
